You may be feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in patterns that no longer work for you. You may be struggling in a relationship, questioning how you see yourself, relying on coping strategies that are creating other problems, or simply wanting life to feel more manageable.

You and I can work to help you better understand what is happening, identify what needs to change, and develop practical ways to move forward.

As a registered psychotherapist based in Toronto, I offer in-person and virtual therapy for individuals and couples. The work is tailored to you and may include working through unhelpful or intrusive thoughts, understanding emotional reactions, recognizing unhelpful patterns, strengthening coping skills, drawing on your existing strengths, and becoming clearer about what is within your control.

Our work will begin by looking at where you are now, where you would like to be, and what may be getting in the way. The focus is not only on insight, but on helping you make meaningful and realistic changes in your life.

My approach is empathetic, direct, non-judgmental, and not too formal. Areas of focus include anxiety, self-esteem, stress, relationships, sex and sexuality, substance use, and creating greater balance in your life. But we can talk about whatever you need.

A little about me: I was born in Denmark, spent my formative years in Alberta, and now live in Toronto. I love them all. I have two Whippets, a white cat, and a calico cat. Needless to say that the soft centre of my heart beats for animals. Also, I love country music, opera, running, reading, and Indian food - but not all at the same time. Professionally, I also have 25+ years of coaching and facilitation experience in the corporate world.

I support all ages, abilities, ethnicities, cultures, backgrounds, relationships, gender identities, and the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
